“Beat them into Peking University”

This is sickening. Honestly, if your goal was to beat your kids into submission, why bother having kids in the first place. Why would you give birth to someone, just so you can control every aspect of their life? Sure, they’ll get into a good college, but college is just a checkpoint. After that, then what? You’re screwing them over mentally for life. Childhood is something that should be celebrated and encouraged. Not feared.Ugh, I hate my culture sometimes.

Getting into a good school at the cost of the child’s creativity and enjoyment of life.
